TRICONEX 3009 Enhanced Main Processor (UMP) Module
The TriconeX 3009 (also known as MP3009) is a Schneider Electric Triconex series triple redundancy (TMR) enhanced main processor, serving as the core controller for the Tricon V10/V11 platform (3700X/3800X rack). It is responsible for safety logic operations, I/O scheduling, and communication management of SIS/ESD systems, and is SIL 3 certified. It is the «brain» of high safety industrial scenarios.

Full name: Enhanced Main Processor (UMP), Unified Main Processor.
Architecture: TMR Triple Modular Redundancy — Three independent CPUs execute the same logic in parallel, with hardware level two out of three (2oo3) voting. A single point of failure does not affect operation and meets IEC 61508 SIL 3.
Platform adaptation: Tricon V10/V11, compatible with 3721 (AI), 3625 (DO) and other I/O modules.

Fail Safe
When the system loses power, the processor malfunctions or is abnormal, all outputs automatically set to a safe state (such as shut-off valve closed, pump stopped).
